15 Mar The PISTIS Foundation Flags Off The Ubomi Medical Outreach With Press Conference
On Thursday 14th March PISTIS Foundation held a press conference to flag off the Ubomi Mega Medical Outreach starting on Monday 18 – Friday 22 March 2019.
The Ubomi Mega Medical Outreach is the first of its kind within the Lekki-Epe axis and will host over 200 healthcare professionals and volunteers such as Doctor, Nurses, Surgeons, Pharmacists, Bio Medical Engineers and more performing free medical consultations, health education as well as free surgeries(including Eye, Dental, Orthopedic, Pediatric and more…)
“Ubomi means ‘life’ in Xhosa, a South African language. It is designed to cater to indigent people who cannot afford medical or surgical fees for their health conditions. As such, PISTIS Foundation will be attending to everyone who fits this profile, irrespective of religious or ethnic background, within the 4,000 person-limit, during the outreach. Being attended to will be on a first-come basis, except in emergency cases,” said Godman Akinlabi, the founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
